1. Check Your TV’s Width vs. Mount’s Arm Length

  • When the TV is fully extended, it should clear the wall and rotate freely.
  • check clearance:
    • If your TV width is 1200mm and the mount arm extends at least 600mm, it can turn 90°.
    • If the arm is too short, the TV will hit the wall before reaching 90°.

2. Verify the Mount’s Swivel Range

  • Take a single arm mount . not double arm bracket. All double arm mount won’t allow a full 90° turn.

3. Consider the VESA Mounting Position

  • If the VESA holes are centered, the pivot point is in the middle of the TV.
  • If they are offset (not centered), part of the TV might hit the wall before reaching 90°.

4. Ensure the Mount Can Handle Your TV’s Weight

  • The mount should support your TV’s weight (e.g., if your TV is 30kg, get a mount rated for at least 36kg).
  • A stronger arm reduces sagging, which can limit movement.

5. Choose an “Extra-Long Arm” or “Full Motion” Wall Mount

  • Standard arms (~400-500mm) might not extend far enough. Which is normally for small size TV.
  • Extended arms (600-900mm) ensure full clearance for large TVs.

🔹 Recommended Mounts for 90° Rotation:

  • Long Arm Full Motion TV Mounts (Check brands like SPEEDSMOUNT).
  • Articulating Wall Mounts

Final Check: Mock-up Test

  1. Measure your TV width and mount arm extension.
  2. Hold your TV at half its width distance from the wall and test the rotation.
  3. If the screen doesn’t hit the wall, your TV can turn 90°.
